HELLO AND WELCOME
Lots of things have happened since my last update, including two of my birthdays, a new sister, and Christmas and Easter. Wow what a great time I’ve been having. I’ve been having that much fun, I’ve hardly had any time left to be poorly! But, somehow, I always seem to find the time to fit in the odd chest infection here and there and the swellings and breathlessness never seem to need appointments, they just happen!
Well, I am 5 years old now which makes me a big boy. I started full time school in January and I love it!. I have to take packed lunches to school, because they say my diet is too difficult to cater for at school. Well, I prefer my mummy making my dinner anyway, so I am quite happy to take my own lunch with me!
I will be adding more and more to my new site over time so just keep coming back and checking. My mummy is quite poorly at the moment so me and dad don’t get a lot of spare time to do things like this so you’ll just have to bear with us because my mummy comes first! She has just had to have an operation to remove half of her intestines and rectum and have a special thing fitted called an ileostomy to give her tummy a rest. Then when she feels a bit better, she's going to have another operation to take the ileostomy thing off and make her all better again. Mummy had to have all this done because she had another bowel disease called FAP or Familial Adenamatous Polyposis, which although is in no way related to my condition, they now tell me that because mummy had it, there is a 50/50 chance that I will have inherited it from her! Dear me, what rotten luck for such a little boy! I can’t ever remember standing on a robin or walking under a ladder. Oh well, it keeps Daddy busy, what with looking after me and mummy while we are poorly, as well as all my sisters and brother, and he works as a lollipop man and an ambulance responder! How does he do it. My Dad must be Superdad!
